Originally from the Bavarian Forest in Freyung, my esteemed great-grandfather moved to Berlin to find his first great love. After he and his wife gave life to my grandfather in Berlin on the Spree, he was drawn to my birthplace. The linchpin in the life of the Friedl family. Wasserburg. My esteemed grandparents lived from fishing and the hospitality industry. I am now allowed to continue it and I am very proud of that. Our fisherman's house has existed for more than 100 years and has been lovingly preserved by my family. I would like to cordially invite you to experience this unique overnight stay in an authentic fisherman's house. It is not perfect, but it has been preserved as our fathers built it with their own hands.

The "Idylle" apartment is on the first floor of a lovingly maintained, 100-year-old building in Wasserburg am Bodensee—just a few minutes’ walk from the lake. Furnishings preserve the historic charm, so some details may not meet modern standards, adding to the property’s unique character. With approx. 115 m², the apartment offers two bedrooms with king-size beds and a living room with a pull-out sofa, accommodating up to 5 guests. The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, oven, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, and toaster. A wood-burning stove provides cozy warmth on cool days and evenings. Two balconies invite you to enjoy breakfast in the morning sun or relax in the evening with a glass of wine. Balcony furniture and loungers are provided. Additional amenities like a balcony table are available on request. The bathroom with bathtub is more compact, reflecting the building’s history: Fishermen’s bathrooms were traditionally small. The bathtub has an entry height of about 55 cm; sockets and window handles are set higher. Towels, bed linen, and toiletries are included. Nearby: Hegestrand beach (150 m), bakery (400 m), supermarket and train station (700 m), a restaurant within 2 minutes’ walk, and a pharmacy (650 m). The ferry terminal is 450 m away. In winter, a ski area is about 20 minutes away. Parking is available on the property (7 spaces). A baby cot is available on request. Pets and smoking are not permitted. Business travelers are exempt from the tourist tax. Children under 10 stay free. Not barrier-free or suitable for guests with limited mobility.
